Teresa Giles Founder | G5 Executive
From managing organisations to developing the leaders within them, leadership has been the common thread throughout my career.
For more than three decades, I have worked across healthcare, finance, banking, education, training and senior management—leading people, developing teams and stepping into complex environments where strong leadership matters.
My career has taken me from frontline clinical practice as a Registered Nurse to senior management and executive leadership, giving me a unique perspective on leadership from both sides: what it feels like to be part of a team and what it takes to lead one.
Throughout my career, I have led people and organisations through growth, operational challenges, cultural change, regulatory pressure and periods of significant transformation. I have stepped into environments where performance needed to improve, teams needed direction, cultures needed strengthening and leaders needed the confidence to make difficult decisions and create meaningful change.
Those experiences have reinforced something I believe deeply:

Building Commercial & Leadership FoundationsMy early career in finance and banking developed a strong foundation in business, customer relationships, financial performance and people management. It shaped my understanding of accountability, commercial decision-making and the importance of building trust with both people and organisations.
REGISTERED NURSING
Leading Where People Matter MostMore than 25 years as a Registered Nurse gave me a deeply practical understanding of people, communication, resilience and leadership in complex environments. Working on the frontline reinforced the importance of listening, building trust, making sound decisions and remaining focused on people when the pressure is high.

Developing Capability in OthersMy experience in education and training strengthened my passion for developing people. Teaching, mentoring and supporting others to build confidence and capability reinforced a belief that continues to shape my leadership today: people perform at their best when they are given the opportunity, support and confidence to grow.
